About Mike Hall
Mike is President and owner of Franchise Resource Group Ltd., a.k.a. FranNet Carolina, a franchise sales and consulting firm with offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina. He advises clients on how to search for and evaluate franchise opportunities that are for sale and is responsible for placing hundreds of new franchise owners throughout North and South Carolina. Mike served on the FranNet National Board of Directors in 2000, 2004 and 2005. He was named a Consultant of the Year in 1999 and 2000 and a Top Performing Office in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2012. In 2009 his office was recognized with a "Commitment to Excellence" award. He is a frequent lecturer on franchising and small business ownership and conducts public seminars on a regular basis. Mike is also a franchise owner himself, and has been since 1991.
Before opening FranNet, Mike spent 8 years in the commercial furnishings industry as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a West Coast manufacturer and as V.P. and C.O.O. of a major West Coast furniture distributor. He also spent 12 years with the DuPont Company in their Photo and Electronic Products division where he held positions in Engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing management.
Mike received his BSIE from Auburn University and has completed extensive graduate MBA work at the University of Chicago. He is a past board member of the Metrolina Entrepreneurial Council and is currently affiliated with SCORE and the SBDC in the Carolinas. Mike is also a partner with Social Venture Partners of Charlotte, an organization dedicated to promoting social philanthropy by funding and strengthening nonprofits
