About Michael

Michael Lind began his working career with Ethyl Corporation. He has worked in a wide range of positions in manufacturing, logistics, client relationship management and information technology management.  When Ethyl Corporation decided in 1989 to spin off its non-chemical businesses to form Tredegar Industries, Michael joined the new company to create a greenfield information technology group to support its plastic films extrusion business.  Michael left Tredegar in 2008 and began working as an independent consultant in the areas of process mapping, process improvement and project management. But something was missing and he wanted to explore a new path, to go in a new direction.

Solving business problems, building client relationships and  creating win-win situations are common threads running through all of his business experience.  As Michael investigated new career opportunities for himself, he found the business opportunity search process both challenging and enjoyable. He soon realized that working with people, coaching and guiding them through the process of finding the right business ownership opportunity held a strong appeal for him.

Today Michael represents FranNet in the Richmond, Virginia area to help clients do just that - find the right business ownership opportunity to match their skills, interests and goals, both personally and professionally.  Challenge him to help find that win-win situation in business ownership for you!

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

In addition to his BS in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, Michael earned his MBA through Averett University's Executive MBA Program. He is a member of MENSA.

OTHER INTERESTS

Michael enjoys exploring new places while hiking or mountain biking, simulation gaming, pestering his Jack Russell terrier, Scooter, and socializing with friends and family.
